Soooo. Im guilty. For the past 2 weeks I have NOT been keeping up with my workouts and diet at an intense level like I have been before. Being home from school presents a whole different atmosphere. There is no big gym to go to to admire everyone working out and using that as motivation. Now it is just me. I workout about every other day. I do my HIIT and run until I’m tired, but not as intensely as I usually do. As a consequence my body has sort of slacked off. I came home 24 pounds lighter than the beginning of the semester with a great amount of lean muscle. I gained a couple of those pounds back along with some muscle atrophy, which results in inches gained back. BUT I am not defeated yet. Today I will begin Jillian Michael’s 30 day shred; I’ve heard amazing things about it, and I will also stick to Insanity(my rainy day workouts) everyday followed by a 2 mile run. Looks like I’m back to 2 a day workouts:). With a thyroid problem it is probably best. Thyroid patients gain weight from just living and I think it’s pretty unfair, but it’s something that I will defeat. I will not let the side effects control my life. I can still be lean and mean just like anyone else. I’m so proud of how far I have come. I have a 5k coming up in about a week and a half, considering I haven’t been working out as I usually do I may not have the chance to improve my time…..which sucks, but if I at least match my time I will be satisfied. I can’t wait to see results from this 30 Day Shred. Maybe i’ll finally lose those last few pounds. Im sitting at a steady 128 now so maybe by the end of it I will be at my goal weight of 120 and possibly drop to about 118 for a little extra room lol. :)
Can’t wait to become fully devoted to my passion again.
Ok, sooooo I know I’m supposed to be changing my tumblr up shortly…………..I’m getting to it lol. I’ve been on Spring Break this week and while I’m enjoying the heck out of this break I am not liking it fitness wise:(. Unfortunately I’ve been sick for like the past two weeks and I just found out Saturaday that I actually had a sinus infection, sooooo anyone that knows sinus infections knows the two best ways to treat it: Antibiotics and STEROIDS. Ugh!!! steroids, i used to have to take them for a long period of time because of inflammation that I had in highschool. Boy does that drug know how to mess up a body. After the first night I took it I already noticed the huge increase in water weight. It suuuuucks. You work so hard for a body and you dont really get to enjoy your work. Oh and did i mention it makes you gain weight in your face too??, Ugh! lol. Well im off of it now and most importantly I’m feeling alot better but I’m absolutely hating this extra weight and I’m hoping that it sheds off within the next couple of days so that I can continue with my progress and SEE results lol.
It has definitely been a while since I last posted, and about a century since I’ve posted something that I’ve actually written myself lol. Honestly I’ve just been too busy to post; however, I’ve been on Tumblr almost every single day. Since mid January I’ve been on a journey. I don’t want to call it a weight loss journey so instead i’ll call it a fitness journey. A few weeks ago I finally decided to do something about the extra weight that I had been carrying around. That was my first goal, but thanks to Tumblr I developed a new goal, not only do I want to shed pounds, I want to build muscle as well. I want to look FIT lol. Tumblr has shown me that you don’t have to be born with the muscles of a pro or college athlete; anyone, even people who start from the lowest caliber of fitness can look phenomenal and become strong. So I jumped on it right away. Since January 17th of this year up till now I have gone from 151 pounds to 135 pounds. That’s a 16 pound drop!!! I’ve never lost that much weight before. Not only am I shedding fat though, I’m also BUILDING muscle which is a very very tricky thing to do sometimes because muscles has more density than fat so you may not always see the results you want on the scale even though you’re slimming down. I’m so excited. In a matter of a month and half I have gotten back into the shape that I was in when I played tennis vigorously as a child and a teen. So if I can do that imagine what I can do with in the next 3 months! I have been weight training twice a week. I split that up in to a lower body workout and and upper body/core workout. The rest of the time that i spend working out is jogging(yes, i love jogging now, and I’m good at it now!), HIIT, and spin classes. Yes! I hit the gym hard! lol. When i get to a weight maintenance phase though i’ll tone it down a little. Just a little, I honestly love all of this working out; it has taught me to have discipline in other aspects of my life as well.
Well my goal weight is 120 and I told myself that when I get to the halfway point I wanted to change my Tumblr to %50 what
